WOWWEE - what a mess out there. Loads of snow..... I'll just wait for Brendan to come over and dig us out - hey, it's the least he can do for his girlee. If he can't do it, then BigWayne will do just fine as his proxy.

Today in history - 1899 A peace treaty between the United States and Spain was ratified by the U.S. Senate. Phew - I feel safer all ready.

Wayne is still outside snowblowing, what, I have no idea. I think he just likes to use his snowblower

I'm in the house trying to keep the boys entertained. It's gonna be a long day!

I so wish we had a snow blower! I actually went out an helped dig for a little while, then came inside to bake brownies.

We got to sleep in since the kids are away so we had a nice brunch this morning. I just pulled out burger because i am wanting tacos for dinner tonight!

I thought the storm was suppose to end around 4. It's 5 and there seems to be no end in sight. Much to my surprise we are surviving nicely. I am actually catching up on some scrap booking, 2007 is almost complete!! Kate has been happy to glue and cut and color her own pages. Charlotte is having a regular day. And Jim is itching to start digging out which I think is kind of a useless task. I am scheduled for minor outpatient surgery on Monday, I've got my fingers crossed but it doesn't look good right now. That's going to irritate me, we have a plan in place to accommodate me being out of circulation Monday and Tuesday. Not sure we can get the help we need to make that happen another time.

Stay safe and warm out there.

Well, we lost power last night at 3:30 for almost 12 hours. The house was down to just around/below 50 (depending on the room) by the time it came back on. Physically we were fine but I was an emotional wreck wondering what the hell I was going to do if it didn't come back on, since the temps are supposed to go down into the teens tonight with near-zero wind chill. Then when it came back on I was worried because the fan blades on our heat pumps were covered in ice so they were shimmying like bellydancers, but it eventually got better.

Since we're clearly stuck inside for at least a couple more days I hope to also get some stuff done - set up our new router and get our Roku set up for streaming Netflix movies, assemble a new hall tree that I just got, and get some general organizing done around here.

M2B if Wayne can make it down here with his snowblower, his help would be much appreciated.

I agree Abuela, Misty needs to pimp BigWayne and his blower to the rest of us instead of keeping him all to herself - selfish selfish selfish....
